Shark Bay on the upper West coast of Australia is a land of extremes, not just in heat but also of massive tidal flows and rich colours both in the Ocean and of the Earth. These strong tides over shallow sands sculpt the bottom of the bays and inlets creating incredible masterpieces out of the water and sands which juxtapose perfectly with the vibrant and rugged red earth so abundant in the region.
This is an incredibly harsh and windswept coastline that can seem quite desolate and yet at the same time it is beautiful and breath taking, especially when Nature finally grants you perfect conditions, even if it is only for an hour or so.
