I discovered that choosing the light of early mornings and late evenings brings a golden glow to the corals which in turn is reflected back down from the under-surface of the sea. These glorious corals, photographed at the very edge of the reef in the Red Sea off Egypt, reach for the surface like spectacular towers and to me are reminiscent of the mythical Alcazar, the lavish palace of Moorish royalty.
