Cerianthus anemones can be found amongst the silty bottom of the deeper sections of the Swan River Estuary. Like wonderful flower beds they can at times cover vast areas of the river floor. Photographing such a beautiful subject requires careful buoyancy so that you can get within inches of the them and not disturb the silt because with one careless fin or hand movement, you will create a silt-out that will ruin any shot.
