While swimming at 14m across an almost barren section of sea bed towards an isolated reef I came upon this small but magnificent white gorgonian coral with stunning blue polyps. These expanses of tidal sea bed seem to be just deserts of silt, and yet just when one concludes it is devoid of life, amazing things appear. It seems Mother Nature truly does abhor a vacuum.
