Just after the image "Eaglerays I" was shot the ray directly in front of me either drifted backwards in the current or I had crept forwards attempting to fight the current. The rays tail touched the dome of my camera housing, causing the ray and another immediately to my right to peel off like fighter jets, circle around to my right and come up next to me from behind, apparently checking me out very closely. They then swam back in formation almost as if I had been accepted by them.
