Manta rays are inhabitants of most tropical oceans of the world. I followed this manta out into the blue from a sandy slope. It then spent several minutes "posing" for me in silhouette with the suns rays penetrating the water as its backdrop. They are found across the top of Australia including Ningaloo Reef, Rowley Shoals and out to Christmas Island and Cocos Keeling Islands.
