Juvenile Emperor Angelfish, you do not see them often but if you are lucky enough to be swimming the reef when they are just starting to mature, it is like watching incredible jewels of all the colours blue flittering and fluttering around the reef. Such amazing colours and patterns which gradually change until the adult fish is more yellow/pale blue with a black and blue mask across its face. The adults are equally stunning but the change is so extreme, you would not think they are the same fish.
Found at the Rowley Shoals, Ningaloo Reef and across the tropical Australia and Indonesian archipelago.
