Not all sharks can rest stationary, many sharks never stop swimming, ever. But some species are capable, especially if a strong current continues to pass water through their gills. I was fascinated at being able to hover above this lemon shark and take time to compose an image that would capture such a moment. Notice the remora that often travel with sharks looked lost, unsure what to do and when myself or another shark passed overhead, they seemed as if they could not decide whether to stay, or leave and join another on its journey.
