No bigger than 10mm high, these minuscule pygmy seahorses almost exactly match the colour and texture of the corals they live upon. It can take most of a dive just to examine the entire gorgonian coral and then be completely disappointed by not finding one. I photographed this one northeast of Bali and I remember that the coral it was hiding on was vibrating because the current was so strong.
