Cocos Keeling Islands, Australian Territory Indian Ocean When told of this site we expected to find a white sandy beach with manta rays cruising the shallows. We indeed found the white sand and clear water but it was all at 40m in depth at the bottom of the reef. Here the manta rays soared above the sand like prehistoric birds flying past us in slow motion.
