Turtle behaviour can be so varied, sometimes approachable and relaxed, sometimes timid and shy, you can never tell what reaction you will get. On this dive we saw several hawksbill turtles and each would swim off as soon as we came near. This led me to seek a shot that would capture the motion as one moved out from the reef underneath me. Hawksbill turtles are found in Ningaloo Reef and right across the top of Australia as well as out into Indonesia and the Pacific Islands.
