Powerful, sleek and with a perfectly evolved design that has not changed over millennia, sharks evoke a fear that lies deep within our ancient memories. Yet sharks are not necessarily creatures that we need to fear. During this dive I was surrounded by up to a dozen sharks, all around and above, but they were merely curious of my presence. I was this strange visitor to their ocean domain and perhaps they were trying to understand what (or why) I was. This simple silhouette against the sun above captured dramatically the shape and movement of this shark, yet at no time did I believe that I was in any danger.
