Nudibranchs like this one are found in vast numbers under the shade of the Busselton Jetty. Although they are quite small (up to 15cm long), once your eye has learned to look for them they seem to appear magically everywhere amongst the timbers. Here I have captured what would best be described as the creatures face, showing the delicate rhinophores that it uses for sensing its environment. Their bright patterns appear to exist as a warning to predators that they are toxic to eat.
