Some soft corals can resemble an ornate blanket covering a section of reef. Under the magnification of the camera, the polyps of this coral appear like a plantation of palm trees all gently swaying with the current. Notice the polyp in the top right-hand corner. It has closed, possibly because it was feeding on something that had arrived with the current.
